Whilst it's not the first time MrBeast has done a giveaway, the competition has caused fans to flock to his Threads page.

They might be used to MrBeast’s mega giveaways – but fans have been praising the YouTuber for his latest stunt.

As he celebrated the launch of Twitter’s rival, Threads, the internet sensation offered to give a random follower a new Tesla.

Not only has the giveaway caused a stir with users, it’s also helped Mr Beast be the first to reach a million followers on the platform.

In a post on Thursday, he revealed the huge giveaway, with it quickly going viral.

To celebrate Threads launching, I'm gonna give this Tesla to a random follower in 48 hours! Rethread so people are aware," he wrote on Threads, with the competition gaining nearly 300,000 less than 24 hours after it was shared.

It’s unsurprising given that the post was shared with an image of the white Tesla with a stark Threads logo on the front bonnet. (ouch!)

Whilst MrBeast hasn’t commented about the giveaway, fans believe it’s a not-so-subtle swipe at Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk - who come under increasing fire in the last few months.

Taking to the new platform, many fans have even been praising the YouTuber for his ‘roast’ of the billionaire.

Commenting below, one excited fan wrote ‘My man just roasted Elon’.

Within minutes, others were making similar comments and theorising about a potential beef between the two men.

“Do you just cheat on Elon Musk? Or you have something spicy planned?” inquired another user on the post, cheekily adding the questioning emoji.

To which the internet sensation replied: “I feel like I’m cheating on Twitter by using this app.”

The 25-year-old, whose real name is James Donaldson, then joked that Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg should make him the Head of Thread – even tagging the founder in the comment.

Meanwhile, other users were more impressed by the stunt, which has helped MrBeast become one of the biggest names on the site – with over 3.1 million followers.

It’s even more impressive, given that Threads had an estimated 30 million sign-ups during it’s first 24 hours alone, with MrBeast becoming the first to reach one million followers.

Some were still in shock over the stunt though, with another new user writing: "Wait hold up a second...You're gifting a Tesla (Elon Musk's product) to a lucky follower on threads (Mark Zuckerberg's platform)...that's crazy."

Others agreed, with a fourth commenting: “The irony that the Tesla comes from Elon Musk and has the Thread logo on it.”

Well, we guess that's one way to get new followers.
