Following on from their other great TV shows, such as Wanda Vision, Loki and more recently Moon Knight, Marvel is set to release yet another brand new six part series on Disney Plus.

Here’s all the information you need before Ms.Marvel’s release:

What’s Ms.Marvel about?

Set in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this show introduces a brand new protagonist. In 2014 the Ms.Marvel comic series made history by becoming the first ever Muslim hero to headline a Marvel comic. This TV series will do the same once more by making Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, Marvel’s first ever onscreen Muslim superhero.

The show introduces Iman Vellani’s character as a Muslim Pakistani-American teenager who leads a normal life in Jersey City. After admiring Captain Marvel for so many years, and feeling like she doesnt fit in at school, she finally gains the cosmic super powers she always wanted. What could go wrong?

This upcoming show has a lot of talent behind the six part series. Written by Bisha K. Ali and directed by Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon, Ms.Marvel is set to be Disney Plus spectacle you don’t want to miss.

Ms.Marvel Trailer:

The trailer is all fans have to go on when guessing the direction the writers and directors have gone. It opens by giving viewers a sense of Vellanis young, teenage character who lives “in a fantasy land”, reading comics and daydreaming about superheroes. But after something spectacular happens to her midway through the trailer, fans are left excited as Kamala is seen wearing a comic accurate suit and using her new cosmic powers to block bullets and to throw punches with a huge, glowing fist that she can now create.

Watch below:

Release Date:

Ms. Marvel is set to release on Disney Plus on June 8th 2022.

With Kevin Fegie already stating that Iman Vellani’s Ms.Marvel will appear in more upcoming movies as this TV show directly connecting with the upcoming 2023 film The Marvels. Clearly, this is just the start for Iman Vellani’s Ms.Marvel character.

Cast:

The cast includes newcomer Iman Vellani set to play the title character Kamala Khan who becomes superhero Ms. Marvel. She will make her onscreen debut alongside a number of other characters played by actors Aramis Knight (Kareen/Red Dagger), Matt Lintz (Bruno Carrelli) and Yasmeen Fletcher (Nakia Bahadir) to name just a few.
