It has been widely rumoured that Eminem's new album is nearing its final stages, but there's yet to be any indication of when we can expect it.

In October of last year the rapper confirmed he's working on a new album through a post on social media, also giving fans a taste of what's to come, linking them to a new track called 'Campaign Speech'.

However, with regards to a release date we're still being kept in the dark, but a recent 'leak' appears to tell us that the album will drop in the fall of 2017. Or Autumn, if you're British.

Hits Daily Double claim that their sources have found out that Universal Music Group (UMG) is in preparation of a financially huge end of the year, as three of their big acts are due to release records.

"Our spies tell us to expect albums this fall from Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), Taylor Swift (Big Machine), and Sam Smith (Capitol), three of Uni's biggest stars," they wrote.

They then delve into some super boring financial figures, talking percentages and capitals, but we've got all we need, a new Eminem record coming very soon. As well as Taylor Swift and Sam Smith, if they float your boat.

Last month Complex reported that Allen Hughes, the director of The Defiant Ones, a documentary about Dr Dre and Jimmy Lovine, let something slip which could potentially mean Em's next album isn't too far away.

Prior to the premiere for The Defiant Ones Hughes spoke highly of Dre and his work in music, telling Uproxx: "People don't know this: Dre records every day. Literally, he's in there recording songs every day.

"He's like Picasso in that way. He's always painting. Right now he's producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem's latest album.

"So Dre's still real active in music, you know? But I hear what you're saying. It's the truth."

This could really mean nothing in the grand scheme of things if it wasn't for one small detail. He says "in the 11th hour."

Now, he could be using the phrase for dramatic effect, or it could mean that Dre is hectically producing additional stuff for Eminem as there's a planned release not too far in the future.

Who knows, but it's good to build anticipation, isn't it?

There's yet to be any formal announcement from Eminem, Aftermath, Interscope or Shady Records regarding the album, so it's worth taking everything you hear with a pinch of salt.
