On Capital FM’s Instagram announcement post, fans have been sharing their thoughts on the eclectic lineup.

One commented, “How the hell have you managed to book Mariah? Wow. That has to be the biggest booking you’ve ever had.”

Another joked, “Who defrosted Mariah six months early?!” A third wrote, “Whichever diva booked Mariah deserves a pay rise.”

Others are more excited to see Jessie J make a comeback after taking a break from the spotlight for a couple of years.

Where to buy tickets for this summer's biggest festivals

Pub in the Park

What: Picture Michelin-star food, ice-cold pints, and big tunes all in one place. Pub in the Park is where chefs and chart-toppers collide (the eclectic line-up features the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Will Young). With pints and gourmet food on offer, it's basically your local - but way fancier and way more fun.

When: May-September (four weekends over various locations)

Where to buy tickets: pubintheparkuk.com

Radio 1’s Big Weekend

What: Radio 1’s annual weekender is the ultimate kick-off to festival season, and this year it's coming to Liverpool. Massive names, huge crowds and affordable tickets (general sale is from £33 although your best chance now is to go down the resale route). This year, Tom Grennan is headlining with the likes of Biffy Clyro and The Wombats also taking to the stage.

When: 23 to 25 May

Where to buy tickets: Ticketmaster, StubHub, Viagogo

Download Festival

What: The spiritual home of mosh pits, Donington Park is once again set to play host to three days of absolute carnage. Whatever you're into, there are some epic names taking the stage this year including Green Day, Korn and Sleep Token. Rain or shine, you’re guaranteed to leave with bruises, core memories, and probably no voice.

When: 11 to 15 June

Where to buy tickets: See Tickets, StubHub, Viagogo

Wireless

What: London's annual festival is returning to its former home of Finsbury Park and this year boasts a star-studded lineup including Drake and Burna Boy, promising enough Instagram content to last the year. It’s less tents and mud, more designer shades and TikTok dances. VIP energy, even if you're not VIP.

When: 11 to 13 July

Where to buy tickets: StubHub, Viagogo

Reading and Leeds Festival

What: Reading and Leeds: the annual rite of passage for any UK festival fan. Rock, indie, grime - whatever you’re into, it's got it, with this year playing host to The Kooks, Bloc Party and Chappell Roan. Expect beer showers, mosh pits, and most likely someone burning a tent by Sunday morning.

When: 21 to 24 August

Where to buy tickets: Live Nation, StubHub, Viagogo

Kaleidoscope Festival

What: Kaleidoscope Festival 2025 is returning to London's Alexandra Palace in July, and it’s shaping up to be an absolute belter. Faithless are playing full live set to mark 20 years since their iconic Ally Pally gig, and Goldie’s taking to the stage too. The lineup also features the likes of Eats Everything, DJ Spoony, Sara Cox and Sleeper. It’s not just music, either: expect circus acts, artsy pop-ups, and even a wander through the secret Victorian basements. With panoramic views over London and a proper family-friendly vibe, it’s the ultimate summer day out.
