Billie Eilish fans can’t understand how her brother helps her write songs after hearing NSFW lyrics to new song

Billie Eilish fans can’t understand how her brother helps her write songs after hearing NSFW lyrics to new song

Eilish's new songs don't seem as cutesy as in Barbieland

Billie Eilish sings some absolute bangers. That’s pretty well agreed. But she also writes some absolute hits, along with her brother.

FINNEAS, 26, and the 22-year-old have been writing together since they were kids and have won Grammys for their work.

The pair also recently swept up awards for ‘What Was I Made For?’ for Barbie.

But new music teased by Eilish is a little less pretty and pink and a little more NSFW.

The ‘Bad Guy’ singer’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft is set to drop next month and fans are anticipating some, well, more mature lyrics.

And with that, some fans just can’t understand how Finneas writes them with her.

Performing at Coachella over this recent weekend, Eilish previewed a new song seemingly titled ‘Lunch’.

Instead of the sweeter lyrics of 2016’s debut hit ‘Ocean Eyes’, ‘Lunch’ reportedly has the lyrics: “I could eat that girl for lunch.

“Yeah she dances on my tongue, Tastes like she might be the one, And I can never get enough, I could buy her so much stuff, It’s a craving, not a crush.

“Call me when you're there, Said ‘I brought you something rare’, And I left it under ‘Claire’, So now she’s coming up the stairs, So I’m pulling up a chair, And I’m putting up my hair.”

I mean, I’m not going to spell it out for you but I’m sure you can work out what Eilish is singing about there.

And it seems fans have been loving the steamy LGBTQ+ lyrics from the star, as one wrote on TikTok: “Okay but how is Finneas sitting there making this, bless him.”

Another agreed: “LITERALLY MY THOUGHTS,” saying ‘he’s stronger than I’d be’.

However, one suggested: “He probably just mentally separates it if that makes sense.

“Like he probably just focuses on the music rather than what the lyrics say/his sister being who sings them lmao.”

Eilish’s songs are typically a collaborative writing process with her brother, as seen in the Apple TV documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.

And she previously explained how the Grammy-winning pair write together.

“It’s really, really different every time. Let me give you an example. I guess a couple of weeks ago, I wrote a verse to this song. I came up with these chords and I wrote like two verses,” she told American Songwriter. “I only had that and I had nothing; I couldn’t think of anything else. I came over to Finneas’ house and I played it for him and he loved it. He said, ‘OK’. I always try to explain it and every time I can’t really because it’s so natural.

“I wish I could explain exactly how it goes, but it just flows. It feels like you’re writing it yourself. I feel like every song that we’ve written together, we both feel like we wrote the whole thing because it was such a give and take.”

Eilish also called Finneas an ‘actual genius at writing music’ as she said he’s ‘the best songwriter ever’.

Well, bring on the new album.
