Busted and McFly are going on tour once again in a new 'versus' tour that is set to entertain thousands of music lovers across the United Kingdom.

The two UK pop rock bands spent years as rivals in the charts, with many pitting them against each other after McFly arrived on the scene and disturbed Busted's then dominance.

But fast-forward to the last decade and a once heated rivalry has been replaced by nothing but friendship. Well, until now.

Busted and McFly formed a supergroup back in 2014 - dubbed McBusted - with a full tour launched to celebrate bringing their two catalogues together.

Now, they are back together again. But with a bit of a heated twist to things.

Announcing a new tour today (10 October), McFly had been on stage on Wednesday night when Busted came on stage to announce a 'versus' tour with both acts taking to the stage together, again.

In an announcement, the two bands said on Instagram: "Every saga has an ending. BUSTED VS McFLY Tour 2025. The ultimate battle of the bands.

"Tickets on sale 9am Friday 18th October, sign up now for presale access. Are you in?"

McFly said: "Busted gatecrashed our show last night (not cool), and challenged us to a 'versus' tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year.

"We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better. P.S. Busted suck."

Busted responded by saying: "There’s been a lot of talk recently... this is where the talking ends. We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted rock."

The Busted vs McFly tour will take place over the following dates and locations. Dates have been announced right across the United Kingdom and Ireland:

Busted bandmates James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis said: “The whole tour is to find out who’s a better band. Fans can decide. They can come and support their band and they might change their mind.

“It’s going to be a fight to the death.”
