Some people can't even find time in their lives for one girlfriend, but singer Ne-Yo somehow manages to fit three of them into what he says is 'one relationship'.
Since his divorce from Cristay Renay in 2023 after she claimed he fathered a child with another woman, the singer, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, has lived in a polyamorous lifestyle, with the 46-year-old currently dating Arielle Hill, Cristina and Moneii at the same time.
In a recent appearance on Sherri, he told host Sherri Shepherd all about how he ended up in a relationship with multiple women.
“I’ll keep this brief. So after my very public, very ugly divorce, I made the decision that I was never going to tell another lie to a woman ever again in life," he said.

“I own the thing that I did in that marriage to mess it up. I own it completely, and I decided I didn’t want to be the reason that anybody ever felt like that ever again."

As such, when he got into a relationship with one of his current girlfriends but wanted to bring other people into the relationship, he said he told her: "Listen, you know I rock with you. You know I love you, but I have to be honest with you.
"It’s not just you. I would love for you to meet these other women, and if we can figure out a way to do something together, cool. If not, that’s cool, too."
Ne-Yo said everyone involved in his 'one relationship' knows what's going on and decided to stick with the current arrangement, saying they 'figure out ways to make everything work'.

The singer has laid down one rule, which he said was important as they'd all agreed they would not 'lie to each other', and that honesty between them was his 'main rule'.
"What I say goes... and you can’t date other men," he had told The Angie Martinez Show.

"When I got with these women, I did not ask for their exclusivity. I did not demand their exclusivity. They asked for it. They came to me and said, 'I want to be exclusive to you and just you'.
"I said, 'You understand that your exclusivity to me, does not mean my exclusivity to you? You understand this, yes? You're OK with it?'"

Ne-Yo also said that as far as he's concerned, his girlfriends are free to leave the relationship at any time if they don't like how it's going, saying he 'ain't selling no dreams', and was 'not forcing anybody to be here'.
According to the singer 'the door is never locked' and as long as everyone involved understands the terms of the relationship, they know where they stand and where the door is.
