Olivia Rodrigo apologises after accidentally asking brother to kiss his own sister at concert

Oh, go on, we’re all guilty of playing a bit of siblings or dating. You know, when a couple just look that little bit alike and you just can’t quite tell. I bet you went to school with at least a few loved-up pairs like that.

But usually, it’s just a harmless little game, something that goes no further than looking at their latest Instagram post showing off their ‘home reno’.

However, in a similar vein, it all went tits up when Olivia Rodrigo had to apologise to two siblings who ended up on a big screen during her Guts World Tour.

Pretty awkwardly for the ‘bad idea right?’ singer. She accidentally asked a lad to kiss his own sister in front of a packed-out arena in Sydney, Australia.

Chatting to her crowd of fans, her camera panned across the audience as she told the pair: “Hi! Hell yeah - you guys are so cute!”

Rodrigo went on to say: “I have a huge and fun favour to ask, would you guys give us a kiss on the Guts cam?”

But the lad quickly shook his head, understandably likely to be mortified by the thought, as he shouted back: “She’s my sister!”

And obviously this led to absolute cringing for the 21-year-old pop star, whose hands flew up in shock.

“She’s your sister! Oh sh*t, Oh sh*t,” Rodrigo said. “Ok never mind, never mind, never mind, scrap that!

“Oh F**k, wow, that hasn’t happened before – this is the first time. I’m actually surprised that that hasn’t happened.”

Walking back up to the main stage, cringing out, the ‘good 4 u’ singer admitted she felt ‘really bad’ for the whole scenario as she added: “We’re gonna forget that ever happened.”

The brother in question took it in his stride though, as he later posted a video of the whole exchange on TikTok.

Tom Santo wrote: “Olivia Rodrigo asking my sister and I to kiss was not on my 2024 bingo card.”

And evidently still a little hung up on the whole thing, Rodrigo wrote back: “I AM SO SORRY.”

But this only prompted Santo to shoot his shot with the star as he offered up a solution: “We can recreate the kiss cam if you would like!???”

Users commented on the clip to say they were there ‘and it was actually hilarious’ as another echoed: “I literally bursted out laughing at this last night.”
