Myleene Klass praised by fans as she makes I'm A Celeb history

The musician has been congratulated by viewers at home after her gruelling three weeks in the South African jungle

Myleene Klass is being praised by fans as she makes I'm A Celebrity history following her victory last night (12 May).

It seems the UK had itself two coronations this month after Klass, 45, was crowned Queen of the Jungle - making her the first ever I'm A Celebrity Legend.

The musician has since been congratulated by viewers at home after her gruelling three weeks taking part in the all-star series.

Klass was joined by a whole bunch of star-studded I'm A Celeb alumni to take part in this year's brand-new 'Legend' series taking part in South Africa instead of the usual Australian bush.

Joining the mum-of-two in the jungle included former boxer Amir Khan, Coronation Street actor Helen Flanagan, Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell, Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder, cricket icon Phil Tufnell, Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, media personality Carol Vorderman, javelin-thrower Fatima Whitbread, supermodel Janice Dickinson plus a few more familiar faces.

It's fair to say the camp was well and truly jam-packed with some very big personalities.

Klass took home the win, leaving Banjo as runner-up to the crown and fans were over-the-moon at the results.

Talking about the final challenge, Klass revealed: "It was the grisliest challenge I have ever, ever put myself through.

"I would rather walk back out onto that platform which is over 1000 feet above sea level than put any of the stuff back in my mouth again, 40 spoons of fermented tofu which tasted like death. It was grim.

"I put 60 mouse tails in my mouth. They kept repeating on me."

No wonder.

The presenter has since credited the show for totally transforming her life.

She said: "I wanted to go to the bush as I wanted to say goodbye, to say thank you for what the jungle has given me.

"The jungle back in Australia gave me my family, gave me my work, gave me my career. And this time round, it has been every bit as magical as I remembered it to be."

Klass explained her biggest motivation in the jungle was to inspire her two daughters, Ava, 15, and Hero, 11.

"You don’t want to let your children down. You don’t want to say something that will embarrass them. You don’t want to bottle out of a trial," she said.

The legends edition of the show went down well with fans.

"I wanted to show my girls and other little girls… keep walking through the fire."

The Queen of the Jungle added: "I just wanted my children to be proud of me regardless of what happened."

Fans have since taken to Twitter to share their congratulations for the history-making winner.

One Twitter user penned: "What a well deserving winner; she’s been a joy in camp and she especially deserves it after that final trial, well done Myleene!"

"Total Legend. Respect to you Myleene Klass. You were so thinking of your children.. and what a strong and talented woman you are.. I am doffing my cap to you.. absolutely fantastic," added another.

A third echoed: "Myleene that was on another level, you are absolutely amazing. Many congratulations a well deserved legend."

A final Twitter user posted: "Myleene definitely deserved to be the first ever I'm A Celeb Legend. I even had tears listening to her about her kids, the focus and how happy she was to win...That's what it is all about with a reaction like that to win. A massive well done."

Now that's a Klass act.
