Even though winners of Bake Off don’t receive a cash prize – just a trophy – her bank balance will have been boosted thanks to TV appearances and book deals that she secured in the years following her victory.
Hussain was the winner of series six, with more than 15 million viewers tuning in to see her take the GBBO crown.
She is seen as one of the most successful contestants to come out of the show.
Nadiya has hosted cooking shows, written several books and even had the honour of baking the Queen’s birthday cake in 2016.

Hussain said on TV at the time: "When I told the kids (I was making a cake for the Queen), the boys were great at keeping it a secret. I told my daughter and she said, 'Oh Mary Berry? You've made lots of cakes for Mary Berry'."
She has hosted a documentary for the BBC called The Chronicles of Nadiya, and had her own cookery series Nadiya's British Food Adventure and Nadiya's Family Favourites.
She also co-presented The Big Family Cooking Showdown and regularly appears on The One Show.
Hussain is also a columnist for The Times Magazine, and has written several books.
She was also shortlisted for Children's Book of the Year prize at the British Book Awards for Bake Me A Story.
