There's a huge detail 'missing' from the Amy Bradley documentary, according to an author.
The true crime community is still reeling from the revelations uncovered in the Amy Bradley Is Missing Netflix documentary, with the three-part series becoming one of the most-watched titles in the past month.
Bradley disappeared in 1998 while travelling on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, with her body never found or recovered.
The majority believes that the American died due to a fall, though its nature is up for debate, while her family firmly believe that she is still alive.

Pictures on a sex worker site of a woman resembling Bradley shocked social media users, though many have claimed that new information disproves this theory.
While a lot of eye-opening information about the disappearance was revealed in the series, there is an important 'missing' key point that wasn't part of the documentary, according to an author.

American author, investigative journalist, and YouTuber James Renner has now shared his opinions on the case after doing extensive research into it.
Speaking to the US Sun, he claimed: "I think it's very interesting when you look at the facts of the case, such a small detail that doesn't seem to mean anything, but it might mean everything.

"They make a big point of saying that the balcony door was ajar in the morning, but they also suggest that Amy then left the room without telling anybody."
He went on: "But if you've ever been on a cruise ship, you know that there are warning plaques in your room that say, ‘Do not open the cabin door with the balcony doors open.’ Because the hallway is pressurised."
Renner explained that by opening the cabin door, you 'create a wind tunnel', something that causes the cabin door to slam shut, as he claimed that 'some people have lost fingers because it slammed shut so hard'.
"You cannot quietly leave a cabin room with the balcony door open. It would've woken everybody up," Renner claimed.
He said that he had spoken to cruise staff who were briefed by FBI on what was found in the cabin too, revealing where they found her prints.

"On the railing, they found Amy's palm prints, and on the glass door, they found her footprints," Renner added.
"So it appears that she was sitting on the balcony with her feet against the glass."
He said that she could have 'kicked off' and even sat on the railing while contemplating her life after a 'rough night'.
Renner revealed that there's only a 20 percent chance that you survive once you go overboard on a cruise ship, at least for long enough until you get pulled out.

"So, I think that's what happened. I think it's likely she went overboard earlier when they were further from the port," the author claimed.
The full theory will be released in his book, A Cruise to Nowhere, next summer.
Amy Bradley is Missing is available to watch on Netflix now.
