Netflix viewers watching a new documentary about the tragic death of JonBenét Ramsey have been left stunned by some sickening claims.

The streamer has released a new documentary called Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey.

It has shot straight to the top of Netflix’s charts in the UK, debuting at number one on the platform.

One particular clip from the second episode of the documentary, however, has been leaving viewers utterly stunned.

JonBenét Ramsey died in 1996 on Christmas Day aged six, with her parents and nine-year-old brother treated in the press as the main suspects behind the crime.

They were also heavily investigated by the police.

In 2008 they were publicly cleared due to new DNA evidence.

During the 90s however they were hounded by the press, with one clip of this being included in the documentary.

Talk show host Geraldo Rivera held a mock trial on his show, and had a woman identified as a sexual abuse expert appear to analyse home tapes of Ramsey.

When asked whether any tapes the ‘expert’ had studied ‘stood out’, the expert said of one: “JonBenét is dressed as a little elf doing a show for senior citizens”.

They then played a clip of Ramsey singing ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’, before the ‘expert’ says: “She picks up a saxophone and for the next minute and a half she masturbates with it.”

This, obviously, does not happen.

Instead, a clip is played of Ramsey pretending to play the saxophone.

She goes on to claim the clip is of ‘a child being sexually stimulated’.

In a previous documentary interview prior to Patsy Ramsey’s death played by Netflix in the doc, JonBenét’s mother says: “I could not believe what I was hearing. It’s sick! For someone to even remotely allude to something so horrible just nauseates”.

The clip then cuts to the Geraldo Rivera show’s mock trial ‘jury’ finding Patsy ‘liable’ for the death of JonBenét.

The clip led to viewers branding it ‘sickening’.

One post on Reddit said: “How in the world did that woman manage to determine that JonBenet was 'masturbating' with it?

“Like she was just being a 6 yr old girl and imitating how she had seen people play that particular instrument, right?

“She never put it 'between her legs' and I can’t believe no one called that woman out for saying that. Insane.”

One comment read: “I went back and rewatched it because she seemed so dead serious I thought I missed something!

“But nope, it never even looked weird nor did the saxophone even ever touch her. She was mimicking what she’s seen before with saxophone players.

“This lady was absolutely insane and disturbed for thinking that.”

Another simply commented: “She’s sick”.

One comment on a reddit thread discussing the documentary said: “Can we just for a second call out the absolute lunatics for a second, like the woman on the talk show, who claimed that she was 'masturbating' with a saxophone while performing?

“How disrespectful and disgusting of that woman.

“When I hear crap like this it makes it so much more understandable how people just went along with something as crazy as the Salem witch trials.”
