Netflix fans have been given less than a week to binge an ‘addictive’ BBC drama hailed as one of the most realistic ever.
Shortly after audiences were given the heads up that they had a matter of weeks to watch Leave No Trace, a Ben Foster hidden gem with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, Netflix have issued another deadline.
This drama has an absolutely stacked cast too, led by the former Doctor himself Christopher Ecclestone.

Add to that the fact the series was written by Brassic creator and Netflix Harlan Coban series veteran Danny Brocklehurst, it’s not surprising to see fans pilling on the praise.
Called Come Home, Ecclestone is joined in the cast by Anthony Boyle, Paula Malcomson, Kerri Quinn, and Lola Petticrew, and you've only a short time left to watch it on Netflix.

The series follows a married couple who have been together for 19 years, Greg and Marie, played by Eccleston and Malcolmson respectively.
After this nearly two decades of marriage, Marie one day decides to up and leave, leaving Greg to parent their three children by himself.

Released in 2018, the intense three episode mini-series was praised for its realism, receiving a score of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Lucy Mangan, The Guardian’s expert TV critic, gave the show four stars, saying: “It is all beautifully played and beautifully put together and I am in, totally, for the duration.”
James Jackson of The Times UK was similarly full of praise for the show, however noted one issue that was common amongst critics and viewers.
He said in his four star review: “Christopher Eccleston clearly can't put in a performance that's anything less than towering, even when you spend the first five minutes trying to adjust to his Belfast accent.”
Accent aside – viewers were full of praise for his powerful performance.

Reviews from fans give it similar plaudits, with one calling it ‘addictive’ and saying they binged it in a single sitting.
In their 9/10 review they said of the show: “As the story unfolds, the audience is trying to work out why, and all the obvious reasons of why Mum walked out, are demonstrated not to be true.
“Compulsive, addictive - I can't stop watching it... This is as real as it gets.”
A similarly positive review called it the ‘realest’ show they’ve ever watched, saying: “It wasn't always easy to watch, life often isn't, but man was it realistic.

“This was well written and compelling. I wanted to know more and how both main characters got to where they were. That said, the acting was phenomenal.”
If all this has you chomping at the bit to watch the series, you’ll have to act quick.
Come Home is not available to watch on BBC iPlayer at the time of writing, it leaves Netflix June 21st.
