Though many things may divide us, I think there's one thing we can all agree on: ghosts. No? Fair enough. One person who does, however, is Sam Smith.

The singer shared a video to Twitter of themself performing John Legend's classic tune 'Ordinary People' which, ghosts or not, is pretty great.

Now, on the surface of it, nothing appears to be too out of this world - apart from that voice, amiright? - but after watching it back Sam spotted a flickering light in the background, which they took to be a sign from the great beyond.

Have a watch and see what you think:

Sharing their initial post, the 27-year-old paid tribute to Legend, saying it was his song that inspired them to follow a career in music.

They said: "I've been singing this all day today... 'Ordinary People' by the incredible @JohnLegend. Singing this is taking me back to a whole different time when I heard his first album and it really made me want to do what I do. So thank you John for this song. xx #StayHome."

However, it wasn't until later that they noticed the spooky electrics, adding: "Just realised my light was flickering the whole way through that singing video. I swear that's a ghost, I always hear a ghost on those stair."

As well as thousands commenting to celebrate Smith's musical talent, plenty of other believers jumped in to share their own spooky tales.

The singer was spooked after watching back his rendition of 'Ordinary People'.

One follower wrote: "Had a ghost at a small store I worked at in the 80s. He liked me, and would turn the lights on and off in my office for me. On as I approached, off if I'd left them on."

A second said: "You're not alone @samsmith. I swear that my room is haunted..."

While another added: "Omg i swear last night i felt a ghost breathe on me ummmm."

But not everyone was so convinced by the singer's claims, with one dissenting voice commenting: "Or the bulb is on the way out. Either/Or. Updates required and desired."

Which is plausible, I guess.

Keep us posted, Sam.
