People Are Trolling Eminem Over The Cover Of His New Album

People Are Trolling Eminem Over The Cover Of His New Album

Eminem's new album Curtain Call 2 is set to be released on August 5

Eminem is getting heavily trolled over the cover of his new album.

Although many Slim Shady fans are buzzing with the news of Mathers' announcement of Curtain Call 2, the nature of the internet means that positive comments will always be followed with negative ones.

The album is set to be a new compilation of the 49-year-old's greatest hits and is a follow-up to to his 2005 album, Curtain Call: The Hits.

The record is set for an August 5 release and will also feature a new, previously unreleased track.

However, trolls have been quick to slam the colourful album cover, with one user tweeted: “I can’t believe he made a cover like this. This is the worst album cover I remember seeing. Come on Eminem wtf.”

Another commented: “Eminem’s new album cover looks like sum off interdimensional cable from Rick and Morty”

“Eminem’s album cover looks like it was made on paint,” a third said.

Someone else thought: “Eminem is so incredibly out of touch. How did anyone let him release this as a cover in 2022.??? Its 2022”

A fourth added: "Bro please this is one of the worst covers I've seen."

Some fans were also disappointed to realise that the upcoming album was just a compilation of his work, rather than a set of new songs.

One wrote: "Sadly not a new album, click the link , just combination of his greatest hits from recent years."

While a second added: "Lol. Why is everyone hyped? It’s just a compilation of his old songs."

Well, as mentioned, there will be at least one new song amongst the previous hits, according to the press release.

It reads: "Curtain Call 2 will include music from all Eminem projects from Relapse forward, including side-projects, guest appearances, film soundtrack songs, and of course selections from his solo albums.

"The Eminem/Snoop Dogg collaboration follows the June 16th release of The King and I, a CeeLo Green-assisted song Eminem contributed to the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic, which is also included on Curtain Call 2

"Along with the two recently released songs above, there will be one additional previously unreleased track on the collection, to be revealed in the coming weeks.

"Known for his acerbic wit, rapid flows, and endlessly personal songwriting, Eminem’s presence continues to loom large over both hip-hop and pop culture itself. Since releasing his debut album, The Slim Shady LP in 1999, he’s gone on to become the best-selling rap artist in history, having recently been certified with six diamond awards from the RIAA, and is now the most certified artist for gold and platinum singles in history."
