People have been rewatching The Departed again after it landed on Netflix. Watch the trailer here:

While it's known for producing its own catalogue of blockbuster films and thought-provoking documentaries, the streaming site also boast a whole host of classics.

And it recently added Martin Scorsese's gangster thriller to its impressive roster, which is in the top 10 films in the UK right now.

For those of you who haven't seen it, the 2006 flick stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson, who are all locked in a game of cat and mouse.

A synopsis of the film says: "South Boston cop Billy Costigan (DiCaprio) goes under cover to infiltrate the organisation of gangland chief Frank Costello (Nicholson).

"As Billy gains the mobster's trust, a career criminal named Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) infiltrates the police department and reports on its activities to his syndicate bosses.

"When both organisations learn they have a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin must figure out each other's identities to save their own lives."

When it was released, the film was roundly praised, and has since scored and impressive 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

One critic wrote: "The shocking violence is well-placed. The action scenes are always comprehensible -- no jump cut cheats here -- and the suspense will make you fidget in your seat. What a corker."

While another added: "This is rich and satisfying stuff with Scorsese rediscovering his masterful skill at delivering a narrative which crackles with acid dialogue delivered by a gifted cast."

And those who have been rewatching since it landed on Netflix say it has definitely stood the test of time.

One user said: "Haven’t been on Netflix for a few weeks to come on and see The Departed has been added, what a treat!"

Another chipped in: "Watching The Departed yet again on @netflix. Scorsese masterpiece."

Just clocked that my favourite film of all time is on Netflix. If anyone hasn't seen The Departed I suggest you get tuned in as soon as you get an opportunity to do so..

A Scorcese Masterpiece.
