Pieces Of Her: What was Laura’s secret?

In Pieces Of Her, it was eventually revealed that Laura Oliver is the secret identity of Jane Queller, who was the daughter of pharmaceutical giant Martin Queller.

Alongside her daughter Andy, Laura has been in witness protection for many years.

Laura’s father was shot dead at the 1988 International Economic Forum in Oslo, Norway, after an attack that was orchestrated by an extremist group led by Nick Harley, or Andy’s biological father.

Laura gave evidence against Nick and was subsequently placed into witness protection and given her new identity before the birth of her daughter Andy.

Laura was revealed to be afraid of Nick finding her new whereabouts, especially as he knew her secret: that she was actually part of the plan to assassinate her father, along with her brother with the Army For The Changing World.

During the planned attack, the extremist group kidnapped Alexandra Maplecroft, who was supposed to debate her father Martin at the conference in Oslo.

Maplecroft was replaced with Grace Juno at the meeting, who was told to throw a pack of red dye at her father to symbolise their thoughts on his organisation.

Instead, Juno pulled out a gun and shot her father dead before she killed herself.

The group assumed that Nick was the one who gave Juno the gun, but he admitted it wasn’t him.

It was actually Laura, or rather Jane Queller, who wanted to have her father killed after he disapproved of her having a baby with Nick and even tried to cause his daughter to miscarry - but it failed.

Laura gave Juno the gun before the attack and Juno agreed.

Nick was the only person who knew that Laura made the switch and coordinated the attack.

After the attack, Maplecroft tried to escape and stabbed Nick in the hand, but he used the same knife to slit her throat.

Laura’s brother Andy was killed by police after they fled the crime scene.

Jasper then informed Laura that he ‘can keep him [Nick] quiet’ regarding her handing over the gun to Juno.

He finished their conversation by saying he will ‘be in touch’ with Laura for a favour in the future, in order to keep Nick quiet for good.
