Rick and Morty is coming back on TV soon and there's some great news for fans in the UK over the season six premiere.

The Emmy award winning series about a genius scientist and his grandson launched on Adult Swim in 2013 and has been going strong ever since.

LADbible can exclusively reveal that for the very first time, British fans will be able to watch Rick and Morty at the same time as American audiences as E4 will be showing them as part of a global simulcast broadcast.

While that means a 4 September release date in the US, for UK fans who want to watch the premiere it'll land in the early hours of 5 September.

You'll have to be really dedicated to watch it as soon as it comes out, with new episodes dropping on E4 at 4am, but it could be a price worth paying to avoid any spoilers.

If that's just a little bit too early in the morning for you, the episodes will be made available to watch on streaming service All 4 and shown again on Sundays.

Karl Warner, head of youth and digital at Channel 4, spoke of how great it was that UK Rick and Morty fans would finally be able to watch the show as soon as it released in the US.

He said: "Rick and Morty is a huge hit on E4 and All 4 and we’re gassed to be broadcasting new episodes at the same time as the US for the very first time.

"To all those die-hard fans, it’s a chance to avoid the spoilers and be part of the global conversation online. We can’t wait to see how it all turns out for Rick and Morty."

It really is great news for UK fans that the season six premiere and the rest of the episodes will be out at the same time as it also helps dodge potential spoilers which could give the plot away.

With a release date of 5 September in the UK, season six of Rick and Morty will be dropping a year after the explosive end to season five.

Last we left off with Rick and Morty, Evil Morty had just scored a major win, breaking through the central finite curve which separated the infinite universes in which Rick was the smartest being in the universe from the infinite universes in which he wasn't.

Morty was even offered the chance to go with him and be free from Rick, but he ultimately chose to stay with his grandpa.

Evil Morty also destroyed the Citadel of Ricks and wiped out huge numbers of backup bodies for Rick and Morty, possibly wiping out Rick's chances of hopping into a new body if he gets killed.

On top of all of that, Rick's portal gun appeared to run out of fluid at the end of season five which could have consequences for the new season.

With just over a month to go before releasing worldwide, it's time for Rick and Morty fans to get hyped.
