First full Rick & Morty season six trailer is finally here

The full trailer for season six of Rick and Morty has just dropped and it looks absolutely amazing.

In it we get to see Jerry dressed as Morty, the return of space Beth and all sort of new adventures for the smartest man in the universe and his young grandson.

On top of that, it looks like Rick and Summer will be re-enacting Die Hard at Blips and Chitz while Morty is stuck playing Roy: A Life Well Lived, where maybe this time he won't go back to the carpet store.

Meanwhile, Rick's car appears to received a bit of an upgrade even if the trailer shows it getting destroyed in a fiery explosion.

Last we left off at the end of season five of Rick and Morty, Evil Morty had broken through the central finite curve and escaped the infinite universes where Rick was the smartest being in the universe.

The major villain went to the other set of infinite universes where there are beings smarter than Rick, while regular Morty turned down the chance to join him in escaping Rick's overbearing genius.

Season six will pick up where they left off with the Citadel of Ricks destroyed seemingly for good this time and Rick's portal gun having run out of fluid.

Rick and Morty fans are going to be in for a treat when the new episodes arrive as show co-creator Justin Roiland has said season six is going to be 'f***ing amazing'.

He teased fans with a new season that he says will be 'a bit more canonical' than previous entries and 'really rewards fans of the show' who've been paying attention right from the beginning.

While Rick flipped out at nautical nemesis Mr Nimbus for trying to establish canonical backstory in the season five opening episode, we could be getting more concrete info on the mad scientist and the Smith family this time around.

For the first time since the show began fans in the UK will have the chance to watch along at the same time as everyone else in the world, at least for those who don't mind staying up until 4am.

Rick and Morty fans willing to stay up that late, or get up that early, will be able to watch season six with no risk of falling foul of spoilers on social media that could ruin the fun.

As for fans who don't want to get up quite that early to stick on E4, episodes of Rick and Morty will also be available to stream on All4 and shown again on TV on Sundays.

Rick and Morty season six will premiere in the UK on E4 at 4am on 5 September.
