Ryan Reynolds Turns Hugh Jackman And Jake Gyllenhaal's Christmas Prank Into Huge Charity Gesture

"Turning something ugly into something beautiful is what (SickKids Foundation) does every day."

Ryan Reynolds has transformed the Christmas prank Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman played on him into an astonishing (and hilarious) charity gesture.

Jake and Hugh had trolled Ryan, 42, by telling him there was an ugly Christmas jumper theme to their festive get-together, before turning up in normal clothes.

Ryan has now used the jumper to raise $850,000 (£619,600) for children's health charity SickKids Foundation.

Fans went wild over Ryan's selfless work, and a few left a nod to his (still) fantastic facial features.

Lorraine Schwartz wrote: "Amazing!! And btw, you've never looked better."

Another user wrote: "How tf is he always hot in anything."

In fact, the comments focussed more on Ryan than the enormous sum he raised for SickKids Foundation.

One person added: "Please can you come and be prince of the UK? We have a vacancy..."

The money Ryan raised and donors offered will go towards research and better facilities for looking after children with serious illnesses.

SickKids Foundation wrote in an Instagram post: "Wrapping up 2021 in a bow, @VanCityReynolds (Ryan Reynolds) #SweaterLove campaign raised more than $850,000 for SickKids this past December!"

The post also confirmed technology firm Samsung's Canadian branch donated the US dollar equivalent of £72,900 and ice hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs had auctioned signed sweaters off to contribute.

The post read: "Thank you Ryan and all the Sweater Love supporters out there, for bringing the holiday magic to SickKids once again! #HelpRyanHelpSickKids."

Hugh Jackman has already liked Ryan's post but is yet to comment.

It would be a surprise if this series of pranks ended here, given the pair's history.

In 2018 Hugh tweeted a photo of him and his wife with a caption explaining how amazing their relationship had been.

Ryan responded in typical Deadpool fashion: "I gave this three months. Tops. I was wrong."

People fawn over Ryan's weird banter and Hugh gets a fair appraisal too.

One fan wrote under a previous post: "You two are freaking hilarious."

Another wrote: "Brilliant! You two are two of the nicest, funniest and I suspect, truly humble guys in the business.... And your antics are hilarious."
