Snoop Dogg wants to cut down how much weed he smokes now

The iconic rapper and weed connoisseur has a new outlook on how much he smokes

Snoop Dogg has revealed he wants to cut down how much weed he smokes now as he explained the reason behind his new outlook on life.

The iconic rapper and cannabis connoisseur, 51, is known for his love and appreciation for the green stuff having marketed his own range of marijuana products in the past.

Snoop - real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. - even revealed he hired a personal blunt roller to keep up with his love of smoking the stuff.

He told Howard Stern his roller’s timing was ‘impeccable’, with a knack of appearing with a blunt in his hand just at the right moment.

“That's his J-O-B, his occupation. On his resumé, it says, 'What do you do?' 'I'm a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller'.

"If you're great at something I need, I'm hiring you."

Snoop also revealed he paid the roller ‘somewhere between $40,000 and $50,000 a year’, along with perks like ‘free week’ and ‘all paid expenses’.

Since the rapper has been synonymous with weed for as long as we can remember, fans will likely be shocked that a big change in the musician’s personal life has altered his way of thinking.

Snoop has recently shared how he wants to monitor his ‘intake’ in order to see his grandkids grow up.

“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways," he told MailOnline.

“The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old.”

He continued: “The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking?

“Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?”

Snoop Doggy Dogg became a grandad in 2015 when his son, Cordé, became a dad to son Zion.

The Doggfather is also a grandad to Elleven Love, Skylar Cordoba, Journey Broadus, and Chateau Broadus.

The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ hit-maker previously said there’s only one celebrity who can out smoke him and it’s a fellow musician.

Country star Willie Nelson happens to be one of the most famous pot smokers out there and not even Snoop could keep up with him when they smoked together.

During a 2018 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Snoop listed the names he thought should be on the Mount Rushmore of pot smokers.

"I would put Bob Marley,” he began. “I would put Cheech and Chong - they were the first faces on the mountain, they're the ones who showed us what a mountain was.

"Willie P. Nelson is definitely on there," he added.

"And by the way, Willie Nelson is the only person who has ever out-smoked Snoop Dogg. I had to hit the 'time out' button."
