Immovable object, meet the unstoppable force

Martyn Ford is set to make his MMA debut in 2019 and fans already can't wait to see how he fares. However, it's been rumoured for his first big fight he's going to be taking on an opponent that's equally as intimidating as him - a man known as the 'Iranian Hulk'.

Last month Ford - a professional bodybuilder and actor - confirmed he'd signed with Poland's MMA organisation Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW), but now rumours are circulating that Sajad Gharibi - the Iranian Hulk in question - has also signed up to fight.

If these two are taking on each other it's going to make the recent 'brutal' choke-out ending match between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov look like a walk in the park - as these two are terrifyingly imposing figures.

We know Ford is a 6'8 tower weighing in at 320 lbs (145kg), but though only 6'1, Gharibi weighs in 340 lbs (154kg) and is reported to be able to lift 386 lbs (175kg).

You'd imagine he's been nicknamed the 'Iranian Hulk' because if you covered him in green paint, he would resemble the infamously powerful Marvel character.

So basically, don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

As is the case with Ford, this would be Gharibi's MMA debut - if he's signed - but he has a past in wrestling and has represented his country in bodybuilding competitions.

Back in 2016, Gharibi said he would volunteer to join the Iranian military forces fighting alongside Bashar al-Assad's troops to head to Syria to fight ISIS - he's definitely not a guy any average person would like to come up against.

But Ford is no slouch either - recently he's been training for his debut with the former World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall, to help him change his training habits and get ready for the octagon.

Ford once had dreams of making it big as an England cricket player, but after an injury these dreams were dashed and now, he's set his sights on MMA.

And he told LADbible in an interview last month he's ready for anyone who crosses his path - even a shark or a bear. In fact, he said: "I reckon I could do both at the same time actually."

To be fair, I wouldn't like to be the one to tell him he couldn't.

If these two truly are set to take each other on in the octagon, it looks set to be unmissable - the moment an immovable object faces up against an unstoppable force.
