Will Ferrell And John C. Reilly Could Fight In The WWE
Step Brothers stars John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell could be on their way to the WWE, if one of the top boys of the wrestling promotion is to be believed.
Braun Strowman - who is actually called Adam Scherr - recently appeared in a cameo role in a film made by the two actors, Holmes & Watson and told The Sun that he is keen to return the favour to the two actors by getting them into the wrestling ring.
The former NXT wrestler has recently embarked on an acting career and would like to get stuck into it a bit more, by the sounds of things.
He said: "I really enjoyed being on set working with John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell. It definitely gave me a little bit of an appetite for wanting to do more of.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm here for the long haul with WWE. I love what I do and I enjoy travelling around the world performing but I also wouldn't mind doing a few more movies.
"They're pretty fun and it's another opportunity to express myself and broaden horizons on my brand and bring more eyes into the WWE. So it's a win for everybody."
He then went on to tease a reunion with the two Hollywood stars, this time in his back garden at the WWE.
He continued: "We talked about it. They seem like they want to. I think that'd be fun, it'd be something that we could go out there and have a good time with, to put on a show for the people."
Scherr has also appeared alongside Saturday Night Live stars Colin Jost and Michael Che in a bit at this year's showpiece WrestleMania event.
He added: "We'd have to find someone to team up with Colin Jost and Michael Che so we could make it a six-man tag!"
Now, the WWE Universe is no stranger to celebrity crossovers. Hell, even the President of the United States of America has been in the ring.
However, getting Anchorman star Ferrell and his celebrity chum Reilly into the ring would be a bizarre set of circumstances.
Hell, make it happen.
As for Strowman, he wants a crack at former UFC star and WWE Universal champ Brock Lesnar.
Strowman said: "Brock Lesnar is the only man that has not had the 1-2-3 after the Powerslam from Braun Strowman so he's got one coming for him.
"I came here to be a champion. I didn't come here to participate.
"I came here to take over and you know, it's a goal of mine and it's going to happen, it's just a matter of time.
"I've been short-changed and come up a little short here and there but it's not deterred me from wanting to keep fighting and scratching and clawing through the nail to get to the top of the mountain and represent this company as it should be."
Best of luck to ya, Braun.
