Are you planning to go away in the future but you’re sick of being disorganised?

Then this woman has just the hack for you!

A TikToker by the name of Sophie (@thatverybadlawstudent) recently shared a clip with the potential to change how you plan your trips forever.

It’s so easy, all you need is Google Maps to make your life easier.

Sophie began: “I'm sorry, but it has come to my attention that some of you are not planning your trips like this.

“Honestly, this is the only way to plan a trip or, like, plan a weekend away.”

Sophie took to TikTok to share the hack.

So, what’s the trick?

All you need to do is go to My Maps on Google and create a new map.

She explained: “You’re going to find the place that you want to make this map of, and then you're going to search and start adding all of the recommendations that you've been given."

Once you’ve found your recommended places, you’ll add on different layers.

“So, for example, let's make this a coffee layer.” Sophie said.

The feature on Flaticons allows you to create a free account and search for different icons to add to your personalised map.

It’ll start to look a little something like this.

The map hack is the perfect way to plan your trip.

Once you’ve added your icons to your layers, you’ll see that you’ve created your own roadmap for things to do and see while you’re away.

The law student went on to share what her favourite thing about it is.

She said: “The best thing about this is that you can open this map on Google Maps on your phone and you can just search around all the different areas and when you tap on an icon, it will tell you what that icon is.

“The reason I love this is cause I love being really well planned in advance.

“I like knowing where I'm gonna eat, where I'm gonna drink, etcetera, etcetera.”

Her followers were equally as amazed by the hack as she was and took to the comments to agree.

One person wrote: “Actually, sounds great for those who don't like to plan every second of the trip - you can just presave a bunch of places and decide on the go.”

Not everyone was impressed by this trick.

A second commented: “I HONESTLY LOVE FYP. This is the thing I have been trying to do for so long. tysm girl. U are saving my future trips.”

While a third added: "Omg game changer."

But haters are gonna hate anywhere and some people just didn’t see the point of meticulous planning tips.

Someone scathed: “This feels like that one girl who had 200 highlighters and amazing study notes that always got average grades.”

Another wrote: “This seems like a lot of work for a vacation.”

But the good news is that if you’re not in to organised fun, you don’t have to use it.

For those of us who thrive on binders, journals and overall planning, it’s amazing.
