People in stitches at moment Toad actor ‘had enough’ at Universal Studios

You can only imagine how much person was cackling underneath the cover of their Toad costume

Gone are the days when meet-and-greetable characters at theme parks simply had to sign autograph books and pose for pictures with guests, as in this day and age, they're expected to take part in TikTok trends too.

But not all of them are exactly willing to join in on the latest crazes sweeping social media...and whoever was crammed inside this Toad costume made it clear they didn't want to be a pawn in the game of chasing viral fame.

Hilariously though, the character's reluctance to participate in this group of girls' video and his subsequent reaction is the exact reason why the clip is doing the rounds online.

A TikToker named Lily shared a clip showing her and a few friends exploring Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios as they got up close and personal with some of the Super Mario stars that we all know and love.

Visitors can queue up to say hello to the likes of Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Peach in a series of designated meet-and-greet areas, so obviously the group of friends made a beeline for the cutest one.

In the video, the theme park-goers can be seen chatting to the waistcoat-wearing character and appear to instruct him to follow their lead as they showed him how to do the 'Rock Your Hips' trend which is currently going viral.

It's the name of a track released by rappers 310babii - AKA recent high school graduate Kameron Joshua Milner - and BlueBucksClan, as well as OhGeesy.

And yeah you just sort of...rock your hips, basically.

Lily and her friends gave Toad a brief demonstration of the trend, clearly expecting the bloke inside of the costume to replicate their moves.

But they got the surprise of their lives when he steered clear of busting a move while on shift - and instead comically charged right at them in the clip.

The girls amusingly screamed as Toad unexpectedly took a series of tiny steps towards them - before he awkwardly bobbed up and down after seemingly remembering where he was.

You can only imagine how much he was cackling underneath the cover of his costume, though.

Lily captioned the post: "He did not rock his hips..."

People were left in stitches by the footage which Lily shared to social media and flooded the comment section.

One said: "LMFAO TOAD HAD ENOUGH OF Y'ALL."

Another laughed: "Lmao why he charge at y'all like that?"

A third joked: "The scream I scrumpt. Please leave that man alone."

A fourth added: "He is probably tired of this trend."

While a fifth chimed in: "What did you think he's gonna do, knock the Mario coins out of you?"
