Will There Be Another Season Of Top Boy? Season 3 Plans Revealed

Will There Be Another Season Of Top Boy? Season 3 Plans Revealed

Top Boy Season 2 has recently landed on Netflix, with some fans no-doubt binging the entire series.

Top Boy Season 2 has recently landed on Netflix, with some fans no-doubt binging the entire series.

The unmissable crime drama is set in the fictional Summerhouse estate in the London Borough of Hackney. The plot follows a thriving but underground drugs business which is run by Dushane (Ashley Walters) and his mate Sully (Kano), who are hoping to become the richest people on the block.

Some TV and film fans have already binged the second season on Netflix (or season four, if you’re an OG Channel 4-fan of the show), and are now wondering whether there’s another season in the works.

So, here’s everything you need to know about Top Boy Season 3 (or five).

Warning: Top Boy Season 2 (or four) spoilers ahead.

Is there going to be another season of Top Boy?

Being that the second (or fourth) season of Top Boy has only just launched on Netflix, it’s too early for another season to be confirmed by the streaming giant just yet.

However, given its huge success and even celebrity status by the likes of Top Boy-fan Drake, it’s pretty likely that they’ll renew the show for a third or fifth season, depending on where you’ve watched the show.

When will Top Boy Season 3 come out?

Fans could expect Top Boy Season 3 (or five) to be released as early as March 2023.

However, it’s important to note that there were two and a half years between the last seasons dropping on the site, so the next season could experience similar delays.

Top Boy Season 3 cast: Who’s likely to return?

Both Dushane (Ashley Walters) and Sully (Kane Robinson) managed to make it through the last season without dying, so we’d expect that they’d be on the books for season three of Top Boy.

Given the fact that Jamie (Michael Ward) suffered a blow to the head by none other than Sully, he’s unlikely to make a comeback.

Jamie’s best mate Kit (Kadeem Ramsay) probably won’t be among the cast in the third season after being shot by Jamie, as well as Ats (Keiyon Cook), who was discovered to be dead halfway through the last season, too.

Rest assured, there is likely to be more returners, though. Including:

• Shelly (Little Simz)

• Jaqs (Jasmine Jobson)

• Aaron (Hope Ikpoku)

• Stef (Araloyin Oshunremi)

• Lauryn (Saffron Hocking)

• Becks (Adwoa Aboa)

• Lizze (Lis Dawson)

• Ruben (Theo Ogundipe)

New cast-members Pebbles (Erin Kellyman) and Vee (Ava Brennan) will likely make a return, too.

Top Boy Season 3 trailer:

As the second season has only just been released on Netflix, it’s too early for a Season 3 trailer just yet.

Keep checking back, though. When a trailer drops, we’ll put it right here.

What will happen in Top Boy Season 3?

As there’s been no confirmation from Netflix, nor a trailer for the highly-hoped-for third season, we can’t say what will happen for sure in Top Boy.

However, we’re pretty sure that things will be heating up for the cast, given the previous betrayal and consequences that are sure to follow.

There’s got to be some kind of underlying tension between Sully and Dushane, given the former’s actions in the last series.

Dushane was meant to be kicking back after handing over the drug responsibilities to Jamie - but now that Sully has ensured that won’t happen, there’s got to be some beef there.

Another storyline could centre on Dushane’s mental health, given the anxiety that he seemed to develop throughout the last season.

There may also be feelings of revenge between Sully and Jamie’s younger brother Stef, and perhaps even Aaron, after the last series - so that will probably be addressed in the third season.

With Aaron now morally responsible for Stef after Jamie’s death, his future is likely to be brought to light. Will he continue with his university studies? Or take up Jamie’s place in the streets? We’ll have to wait and see.
