Who Is Traffic Cone On The Masked Singer? The Masked Singer UK Clues

The Masked Singer has recently returned to ITV, meaning fans are going crazy over the identity of these whacky performers.

The popular singing show sees celebrities dressing up in larger-than-life costumes and performing popular song covers to a panel of judges who try to work out who is indeed “behind the mask”. 

The reality show is based on the South Korean show King of Mask Singer, which has since spread across the globe and has at last reached our shores.

Who is Traffic Cone on The Masked Singer?

With so many stars being previously revealed on the show, Traffic Cone marks one of the final players on the show before the winner of The Masked Singer 2021 can be revealed. So, who could Traffic Cone be?

In the first week, the orange and white character rick-rolled judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan with Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. 

As is the way with all characters in The Masked Singer, Traffic Cone provided a few ambiguous clues. 

The character explained that the shape of their costume has a personal meaning to them, and explained they had a “sporting” chance of winning over the home-viewers and judges.

They also said they were the “OGTC”, whatever that means. 

Viewers of the show were also told that the Traffic Cone is “on the road to success, cos there ain't no Plan B." They also made a comment about a "troublemaker".

The Traffic Cone also told the judges: "I made money taking my top off."

As can be expected, home-viewers went wild on Twitter in an attempt to guess who the character could be. 

Some Twitter users expressed that Traffic Cone must be Sir Tom Jones, as he was reported to be a construction worker before he became a singer.

One fan wrote: "TRAFFIC CONE is definitely Tom Jones. I remember him saying on The Voice he worked in construction before he made it big!" 

Another agreed with the theory, writing: "Tom Jones IS traffic cone."

"Traffic cone is 100% Tom Jones #MaskedSingerUK soon as Traffic Cone started singing I knew it was him,” said a third fan.

Another fan-theory is that Traffic Cone is singer and radio and TV presenter Aled Jones. 

One fan wrote on the social media platform: "Traffic Cone is none other than Mr Aled Jones - could hear his voice clear as anything #MaskedSingerUK."

"#MaskedSingerUK Traffic cone is completely Aled Jones. Just listened back to him!!!," said a second fan.

Home viewers also guessed that Traffic Cone was Rick Astley, after his stellar rendition of his flagship song.
