Pierce Brosnan Struggling To Find A Buyer For His Thai-inspired Malibu Home

Don't go reaching for your cheque book just yet - you'll need to be prepared to pay a nine-figure sum to live in this place.

Are you sick to death of staring at the same four walls after over a year of lockdown-induced working from home? Have you been pondering the value you get for the money your pour down the drain on rent each month?

Well then, you're in luck as it's become known this week that former agent 007 Pierce Brosnan's Malibu home is for sale - and the poor guy has been trying to flog the place for over eight months!

The Californian mansion, which according to the New York Post has a Southeast Asian aesthetic inspired by the actor's time shooting the 1997 Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies in Thailand, has been listed as for sale since last September but unfortunately, he's yet to get a bite on this stunning abode.

They say it's a buyer's market in the post-COVID climate we're living in but we're not sure these circumstances stretch quite so far as Malibu - the home is listed for a cool $100 million, which is roughly €83,314,986, and sources tell the newspaper Brosnan isn't willing budge on price.

So what does $100 million buy you? The 'SOS' crooner first purchased the property over 20 years ago, later transforming the space into a Thai-inspired compound complete with a beach bar terrace and pool.

Inside, across the guest house and main house you'll find five bedrooms and an impressive 14 bathrooms. The master suite spans about 4,000 square feet - 'larger than many houses' as the article helpfully points out - and boasts an 'expansive deck' with an ocean view, plus his-and-her fireplaces for those famously cold Malibu evenings.

As you can see from the realtor's images, this place really is something to behold.

You'll want to make sure you're always looking your best when you step out of your front door as the neighbourhood is also home to a number of other A-list Hollywood actors including Dustin Hoffman and Danny DeVito.

Brosnan himself famously resides in Hawaii, although he recently spoke about his love for his home country Ireland and his desire to purchase a house here. "What's not to love about Ireland?" he asked recently in a video for Tourism Ireland.

Well Pierce, nothing, but it might be a require a slight adjustment in the sort of paradise lifestyle you've become accustomed to since your days growing up in Co. Meath...
