A contestant on The Chase won a whopping £75,000 solo prize point, making him the show's biggest ever winner.

Eden faced off against Chaser Darragh Ennis and managed to correctly answer 22 questions in the final chase - including four push backs.

And if all of that isn't impressive enough for you, he's only 20 years old. Fair play.

Before he went on to pull off the incredible win, Eden was asked by presenter Bradley Walsh what he'd do with any cash he won, to which he replied: "Maybe buy a car, nothing fancy, just something with four wheels." He then added: "Maybe an Alfa Romeo."

When Bradley joked about the swish car brand, Eden replied: "Probably just a very old, second-hand one."

Eden set the final chase at 18 questions and was able to get the better of Darragh thanks to a few push backs.

As the buzzer sounded signalling the end of the game - and Eden's win - Bradley excitedly shouted: "Seventy-five grand. Twenty years of age. Who's your best mate?"

He added: "It's the single highest win in a daytime show ever - and you're 20."

Not so sure about that claim, Bradley mate - a total of nine contestants won £250,000 prizes on Channel 4's Deal Or No Deal between 2007 and 2016. But still, £75k is not to be sniffed at, and he's certainly The Chase's biggest winner.

Even Darragh was compelled to congratulate his opponent, saying: "What a show. Absolutely brilliantly played, Eden.

"You set a very high target and you pushed me back... I don't know how many times, but enough to win the money."

After his win, Eden was asked again what he had planned for his new-found fortune, to which he replied: "Just look at it in my bank account." Don't forget about that car, mate.

Much like Bradley, viewers watching at home were chuffed for Eden.

Posting on Twitter following the show, one fan said: "I think Eden may be everyone's favourite contestant ever!"

Another said: "Lift that head up Eden lad, you should be proud, incredible performance!!"

While a third impressed viewer added: "Best episode I've ever seen. Eden, what an absolute legend! 100% deserves every penny."

Others suggested Eden could even switch places and join the show as a brand new Chaser - with one writing: "Surely he has to be offered a role as a Chaser. He's currently out of work

"Come on production team do your thing."

The previous largest amount won by a single contestant on The Chase was £70,000, picked up by a woman named Judith in 2019 - although a team in 2018 once took home £100,000 between them after beating Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty.
