A TikToker has said he reckons film review site Rotten Tomatoes is broken based on Adam Sandler films alone. Here is his explanation:

Charles Peralo (@charlesperalo) posted a clip onto the video-sharing platform where he outlined exactly why he thinks there's an issue with Rotten Tomatoes.

He explained his theory using ratings from Adam Sandler films which only have an average score of 31 percent. He also spoke about the cost of his films and how long each one usually takes to film.

Speaking to the camera, Charles said: "Adam Sandler's movies have brought in over $10 billion, and that just proves Rotten Tomatoes is broken.

"And the reason is, is you average the score and all of Adam Sandler's movies that only comes to a 31 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Comparing that to M. Night Shyamalan, who a lot of people love to rag on is a bad director, has an average score of 63 percent."

Charles went on to say: "Adam Sandler has done 75 movies throughout his career and keeps on getting work.

"There was so much success that for a multi picture deal, Netflix paid Adam Sandler $275 million, which is one of the best investments for Netflix."

He continued: "The reason for Sandler's success is his movies are low budget, costing $30 million, which is half as much for the average wide release film.

"His films are also quick and average only six weeks to make which is much lower than the five months it takes to make most movies.

"Profit margins on his movies are great and on average make four times as much as Christopher Nolan films and a big part of Sandler's success is he openly ignores critics and says he's focused on the viewer."

"When he does want to do something more serious he makes movies like Uncut Gems which was universally well received and he joked around that if he didn't get nominated for an Oscar he'd make the worst movie ever.

"Which he might have done with Hubie Halloween. You don't have to care what critics think."

Commenting on the post, one person wrote: "He straight up said that if he didn't win an Oscar for Uncut Gems he would make a movie so bad on purpose, that being Hubie Halloween. KING."

Another added: "Adam (first name basis) makes the most laid back, chill, family centric, pot head, inclusive flicks of all time. It's something [sic] for everybody in his movies."
