Last night BBC's new crime drama Time began starring Sean Bean and Stephen Graham. As per usual, viewers can't wait to see what happens and have started to make predictions.

Airing weekly on BBC One at 9pm (or available as a three-episode boxset on the BBC iPlayer), the series follows a newly-imprisoned man (Sean Bean) and a prison officer (Stephen Graham).

Bean's character Mark Cobden is consumed by guilt for his crime and finds himself out of his depth behind bars. He meets Eric McNally (Graham) who is doing his best to protect people.

If you weren't already aware, Bean is known for playing a lot of characters that die (think GoldenEye, Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings respectively).

So already people have written off, or at least questioned, his character's longevity in the show - assuming he will kick the bucket later in the series.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Five minutes in and Sean Bean is crucially still alive."

Another added: "So, which episode does Sean Bean die in?"

While a third said: "Sean Bean doing well so far 20mins and still alive."

Despite the jokes knocking around, it's clear to see that people are loving the first episode of the series.

One person wrote: "20 minutes into #Time & I don't think I have drawn breath. Played beautifully & with intensity by @StephenGraham73 & Sean Bean, this is another superb piece of writing from Jimmy McGovern."

Another commented: "Doesn't get better than Sean Bean and Stephen Graham in a gritty drama! This should be good."

A synopsis from the BBC reads: "Mark Cobden (Bean) is newly imprisoned, consumed by guilt for his crime, and way out of his depth in the volatile world of prison life.

"He meets Eric McNally (Graham), an excellent prison officer doing his best to protect those in his charge.

"However, when one of the most dangerous inmates identifies his weakness, Eric faces an impossible choice; between his principles and his family.

"Sean Bean and Stephen Graham star as two men on the edge in this emotional and thrilling portrayal of life in a British prison. What does it take to survive?"
