Brendan Fraser Confesses To Loving George Of The Jungle Co-Star Leslie Mann During Resurfaced Interview
| Last updated
Of course, it's all a bit of a joke, as Mann was married to director and producer Judd Apatow at the time - and still is - but it's nice to get a bit of Brendan Fraser content every now and again, isn't it?
Fraser has been enjoying something of a comeback - or Brenaissance, if you will - in recent times, and this clip from US talk-show Busy Tonight has been doing the rounds again on Facebook and Reddit.
In the clip, Mann starts things off by confessing that she actually fell in love with her counterpart Fraser whilst they were on set.
Host Busy Philipps started off by asking Mann for her 'work crush', to which Mann said: "I thought maybe I would marry George -Brendan [Fraser].
"He was just delightful and funny and - I don't know - in the movie I'm supposed to fall in love with him...
"I was like, 'Judd, I love Brendan'. And he's like, 'I know'."
She continued: "I started getting really weird around him at work...'cause he's, like, naked all day long.
"Every morning before work, we were in the hair and makeup trailer getting ready and he would come in and kiss me on the lips...just like, a good morning kiss, like he was European or something...So, I got used to this, like, morning kiss.
"And then one morning, he caught me off guard. I took a big bite of oatmeal and he went in to kiss me and my lips had a sticky oatmeal film on them, and he never kissed me again.
"Never kissed me again after that!"
That's when Fraser arrived to give his take on it, joking: "I don't like maple syrup."
Leslie then asked: "Did you know that I was in love with you back then?
"Do you remember that scene where we were on a log and I had to tell you that I loved you, and I would start to well up...That's because I was actually in love with you."
Fraser responded: "How could you not be in love with Leslie Mann?"
Mann then said: "Wait, were you in love with me too?"
Fraser explained how he thinks he even had a run in with her husband during filming. He said: "There's this guy in the bushes and he's looking at me, and I know that look. I know men. I didn't know who it was.
"Then, The 40 Year Old Virgin came out and I realised that was Judd Apatow."
If you're up for more Fraser content, you'll be glad to know that he's back, and currently starring in a new film called No Sudden Move.
It stars Benicio del Toro, Don Cheadle, David Harbour and Jon Hamm, and is out now.
