Christopher Nolan's new sci-fi thriller Tenet will be released internationally on 26 August before opening in selected cities in North America on 3 September. You can watch the trailer here:

The movie will be dropping in 70 international territories, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia and the United Kingdom, according to Variety.

Warner Bros. Pictures told the publication last week that Tenet could premiere overseas before opening in the US, this is believed to be down to the fact that international markets are beginning to reopen safely.

America, on the other hand, has seen coronavirus cases rise in recent weeks which complicates matters, especially when it comes to gathering audiences together in a bid to watch the latest Hollywood release.
