A man watched his girlfriend cheat on him as part of a bizarre reality TV show. Watch here:

The episode of Temptation Island first aired in the US in 2019, but the show has now washed up on UK shores on E4.

The premise of the show is pretty simple: troubled couples are dumped in Hawaii, separated from each other and surrounded by hot single people of the opposite sex.

This is ostensibly to test their relationship and make them stronger, but clearly it's just the ideal formula to create cruel but kind of fantastic TV moments like the one above.

In the clip, Casey can be seen with his jaw literally dropped as he and a bunch of contestants watch on as his other half Ashley shacks up with a fella called Ben.

It's hard to understand why any troubled couple would think going on this show would be a good idea.

Lots of viewers are gripped by the show, with one hailing it 'trash reality TV gold', but unsurprisingly, Casey isn't so keen on it.

Writing on Instagram, he labelled the show 'Manipulation Island' and said 'every day was hell' making the show.

He said: "They made it blatantly obvious they had stories written for all of us we were supposed to follow."

He told another follower on Instagram: "THIS SHOW IS A JOKE."

Hopefully he's over it now, what with it being filmed a couple of years back, but unfortunately for him the show is now making waves over here having dropped on E4.

It's much like what happened with the Aussie version of Married At First Sight not long ago.

Channel 4 is now giving the UK version of the show a revamp.

In a statement, the network said: "Wedding bells are ringing as Married At First Sight UK gets a major makeover for 2021, with the home-grown version of the global phenomenon making its way to E4.

"Taking inspiration from the hugely successful Australian version that gripped British viewers this summer [2020], the new UK series will be a bigger, more explosive take on the format, following a fresh batch of singles as they search for love and a happy-ever-after with complete strangers.

"Following the Australian format, rather than legal marriages, the couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake."

You can apply to be on it here - if you really want to.
