Harry Potter Star Jason Issacs Joins Cast Of Sex Education

Harry Potter Star Jason Issacs Joins Cast Of Sex Education

Harry Potter star Jason Issacs is joining the cast of Sex Education for its upcoming third season.

The 57-year-old actor, who played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter flicks, is set to star as Peter Groff - Mr Groff's brother.

According to a statement from Netflix, Peter is "Mr Groff's more successful and not very modest older brother, who Mr Groff has been staying with in the wake of his separation from Mrs Groff."

Also joining the cast are Jemima Kirke, who previously starred in HBO's Girls, as former Moordale student turned new headmaster Hope, who has her sights set on turning the school back into the 'pillar of excellence' it was.

Meanwhile, Dua Saleh will be taking their first acting role as non-binary student Cal, who rocks up at Moordale and instantly clashes with Hope and her new vision for the school.

The eagerly anticipated third season is currently back in production after being forced to take a break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Netflix confirmed the good news with a short clip showing the cast getting themselves ready to leave lockdown and return to filming.

"So I think the show definitely has legs if Netflix are nice enough to let me keep writing it and let Ben [Taylor] keep directing it!"
