Hotel Creates Amazing Elf-Themed Christmas Suite

A hotel in Michigan is 'rescuing Christmas' with an Elf-themed guest suite, which has been created to spread a little festive cheer this holiday season.

Royal Park Hotel in Rochester has launched a 'Buddy the Elf inspired suite experience', which goes all-out with seasonal decorations and variousnods to Will Ferrell's lovable character.

The walls of the 1,100 square foot suite are 'adorned with lights and gift wrap', while up on the ceiling you'll find 5,000 feet of paper garlands and 'over the top snowflakes'.

There's are even Christmas trees featuring favourite quotes from the film, and a TV that you can watch the film on.

Sue Keels, Royal Park Hotel general manager, told ABC: "Our team worked around the clock trying to get this Buddy's suite up and running."

Sponsored by bourbon whisky brand Maker's Mark, guests will also receive a 'Buddy's Mailroom Cocktail Kit', and a variety of the character's 'favorite food groups', including candy canes, maple toasted tarts, coconut marshmallow 'snowballs', and snack mix.

"When guests arrive, they have a little surprise gift from Buddy," Keels said.

According to an online flyer, the room rate starts at $599 a night (£448), with 10 percent of all proceeds from bookings donated to help fund the Big Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester.

The hotel's website says: "In partnership with Maker's Mark and DDA Downtown Rochester, help us rescue Christmas!

The hotel has also created a 'gingerbread inspired' suite, sponsored by Cedarbrook of Rochester with 10 percent of proceeds going towards the Salvation Army of Metro Detroit.

"From festive trees to gingerbread boys & girls displayed throughout the suite, you will feel as though you stepped into a life-sized gingerbread house," the Royal Park Hotel says.

"Includes 32 ounce growler to fill with draft hard cider or beer of your choice, fresh baked gingerbread cookies and your own decorating kit."
