Netflix has called time on its Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series.

After four seasons, the streaming service has decided that the show will come to an end.

The final episodes of Part 4 will premiere later this year, as planned, however there will be no more in the future.

Netflix revealed that the show would be coming to an end by stating that the fourth instalment to the series would be 'a spooky, sexy & supernatural series finale'.

The official Twitter account for the show added: "It all comes down to one last Chilling Adventure. Our final chapter is coming later this year. Coven forever."

Developer, exec producer and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said while it was devastating that the show wouldn't continue for more exciting journeys, he was proud of the work they had done.

He added: "Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from Day One.

"The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone's favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show.

"I'm also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can't wait for everyone to see Part Four."

Part Three premiered in January this year and it took viewers on another wild ride. People were thrilled with the season and it was set up perfectly for the finale.

The official description for the upcoming season reads: "The Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale. The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness to name a few), all leading up to...The Void, which is the End of All Things.

"As the witches wage war, with the help of The Fright Club, Nick begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina's heart, but will it be too late?"

Sounds very juicy.

Netflix recently revealed that other legendary shows like Ozark and Dead to Me will be getting on final season before viewers bid farewell to their characters for good.
