Mark Hamill made a 'secret' cameo in The Mandalorian and managed to go completely unnoticed by fans.

The Luke Skywalker actor made an uncredited appearance in episode five, voicing a droid bartender in Tatooine, according to behind the scenes show Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian.

Viewers might remember the episode in question saw the bounty hunter (played by Pedro Pascal) travel to Skywalker's home planet Tatooine, where we saw the droid bartender.

Creator Jon Favreau previously revealed to Deadline that the droid is called is EV-9D9 and that he had appeared in Return of the Jedi where he was seen torturing other droids.

Last month, Hamill announced that he wouldn't be reprising his role as Skywalker in the future, admitting that he had said 'farewell' to the character.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 68-year-old was asked whether or not he'd ever consider acting in the Star Wars series ever again, if the circumstances were right.

To which he replied: "Oh, I can't imagine that, no.

"I had a beginning, middle, and end. Those films gave me far more than I ever expected when we started out so it's never even occurred to me. My farewell was in Episode IX and it was bittersweet.

"I love all those people and I certainly have affection for George and the character he created. I'm full of gratitude for what it has given me and my career but I don't want to be greedy.

"There are still so many more stories to tell and so many great actors to tell them, they don't need me."

But it's not all bad news for fans of the Star Wars franchise, as Favreau has promised there will be no delays with the October release of the second season of The Mandalorian.

During a virtual panel for the ATX Television Festival, moderated by Vanity Fair's Anthony Breznican, Favreau said: "We were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lockdown.

"Thanks to how technology-forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we have been able to do all of our visual effects and editing and post production remotely through systems that had been set up by those companies for us."
