Ozark Will Return To Netflix For Season Three On 27 March

Netflix has announced that Ozark will return for season three on 27 March.

On Facebook post, the streaming service posted details of the release date with the caption: "We're all in." Unsurprisingly, it seems fans can't wait.

Replying to the post, one person said: "Woohoo, thought Netflix might have forgotten about this," while another wrote: "Cant wait, such an underrated series."

A third added: "In my top 5 best shows ever - awesome, cant wait," while someone else commented: "Good. Glad I saw this so I can start to rewatch the last two seasons."

If you need a reminder: season two saw the Byrdes get in deeper than they ever have before with the ruthless Snells. Del is gone, the cartel's lawyer Helen Pierce has been sent in, and Marty (Bateman) opened a casino boat to help the gang launder millions of dollars.

The Sinner Season Three Drops On Netflix On 19 June

In terms of plot, according to Deadline, season three will see the Byrdes continue to struggle to cut ties with the criminal underbelly of the Missouri resort.

In season three we will also be introduced to a few new characters, including Tom Pelphrey (Iron Fist), Jessica Frances Dukes (Jessica Jones) and Joseph Sikora (Power).

A synopsis that was released last year said: "Marty and Wendy (Laura Linney) struggle to balance their family interests amid the escalating dangers presented by their partnerships with the power-hungry Snells, the cartel and their new deputy, Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), whose father Cade has been released from prison.

"The stakes are even higher than before and the Byrdes soon realise they have to go all in before they can get out."

Since it first hit our screens in 2017, Ozark has been a huge success and follows the (mis)fortunes of a middle class family who get mixed up with a major criminal organisation.

Jason Bateman stars as Chicago financial adviser Martin 'Marty' Byrde in Bill Dubuque's thriller, who is forced to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel.

Marty, his wife Wendy and their two kids relocate to the Missouri Ozarks, where Byrde gets caught up with the cartel after a different money-laundering scheme goes wrong.
