You probably thought you'd never feel as hooked to a TV show as you were to Tiger King, but it looks like Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin now have some fresh competition with new BBC drama, Normal People, which viewers are absolutely racing through.
Based on Sally Rooney's best-selling novel of the same name, the 12-part series follows Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal) as they navigate through their teenage years and emerge into adulthood, weaving in and out of each other's lives as they grow older.

While the show only dropped a matter of days ago - having been added to BBC iPlayer on Sunday 26 April, with episodes also airing on BBC One/RTÉ One - viewers at home are already completely obsessed, with many praising its evocative mix of love, lust and heartbreak.
One person tweeted: "I don't know what it is about Normal People, but I read the book in one sitting and I've just watched the entire TV series in a day. It's so addictive to me."

Another said: "Normal People is so addictive. I love how slow and tender it feels even on the screen - it's making me relive all the teenage/uni feels."
A third added: "HOW is the adaptation of #NormalPeople so perfect??? It's almost physically addictive, like the book. Thank you BBC. Regretting my self imposed 2 eps a night quota."
While a few people have been held up pondering just how, ahem, arousing many scenes are ("Anyone into soft Irish porn?"), believe it or not, some are already on round two:
However, it sounds like others may take a while to get over their first viewing, with one person saying it had 'ruptured' their soul.

Someone else added: "Have an emotional hangover from Normal People. My little heart."
If you think you can handle the will-they-won't-they drama as Marianne and Connell fluctuate between love and friendship, you can watch Normal People on BBC iPlayer now.
