As fans eagerly wait for the next instalment of Stranger Things, Gaten Matarazzo is one step ahead and has been thinking about a potential spin off.
The 18-year-old star has teased the possibility of another show with his character Dustin Henderson and Steve Harrington (played by Joe Keery), but says it couldn't be a full standalone series.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: "I think a Dustin-Steve spinoff would be good if it were in, like, a weird niche format. Like, they didn't do a full show of it."
He then continued to elaborate, explaining: "Like a WandaVision type thing or like a web series type thing where on YouTube, there's weekly episodes of little hijinks they get into, like every now and again, like a skit show. That'd be great. You kind of break that format....I don't know if a Dustin and Steve full-series spinoff is sustainable. What are they going to do for a whole season, just them?"
It seems this is something Stranger Things buffs would be on board with, as one person tweeted: "I would totally watch a spin off of Dustin and Steve. #StrangerThings."
Another added: "I want a Stranger Things spin off that is just about Dustin, Steve and Robin solving mysteries."
I'd totally watch a Stranger Things spin off starring the Scoops Troop or just Steve and Dustin or Steve and Robin. Like, totally :100: would.

While there are no plans for such a thing just yet it's worth turning our attention back to Season 4 which doesn't have a release date at the moment but is much closer.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Matarazzo claimed that it is the scariest yet for the epic sci-fi show.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the child star said: "Yikes. I think most would probably say it's the scariest [season] out of the previous three, which I love because it's very fun to film."
While he admits it's pretty intense filming all those dark and spine-tingling scenes, the actor says there's a really fun atmosphere on set at the moment.
He continued: "We don't have to try too hard. We like each other, which is always a plus.
"As well as having a lot of the heavy, dark stuff in the show, it's surrounded by a lot of light-heartedness [and] a good amount of comedy. We usually have a fun time on set."
