A gripping new documentary about one of the world's most notorious killers, Ted Bundy, finally lands today.

Ted Bundy: Falling For A Killer is available to watch on Amazon Prime and takes the focus away from the brutal murderer to look at those affected by his horrific crimes.

The five-part series is set over the course of 20 years and takes the perspective of those closest to the killer, including testimonies from one of his ex-girlfriends, Elizabeth Kendall, her daughter Molly, as well as a number of those who managed to survive.

The official synopsis for the hard-hitting series says: "For the first time, Ted Bundy's long-term girlfriend Elizabeth Kendall, her daughter Molly, and other survivors come forward to share their experiences with unsettling new details about Bundy, the pull he had on women and an abundant archive of never-before-seen family photos."

A statement from Amazon said the new series will analyse 'Bundy's crimes from a female perspective - uncovering the disturbing and profound way in which Bundy's pathological hatred of women collided with the culture wars and feminist movement of the 1970s, culminating in what is perhaps the most infamous true-crime saga of our time'.

Kendall - who was the one who called police on Bundy - will explain what life was like with her infamous ex, and discuss the mysterious pull he seemed to have on women.

She says in the trailer: "I just didn't think he could do these things. I fell in love with him from day one, but there were all these coincidences.

"I couldn't let it go."

After the trailer was released last month, many people said they were interested to hear the tale from Kendall's perspective.

One commented on YouTube: "Every documentary has talked about Liz, his girlfriend. Now I can finally hear her side. Good."

Someone else wrote: "I think it's helpful Liz is talking about her experience. Ted fooled everyone, surely we could all learn something from this tragedy."

While another said they thought it was the first time they'd seen any filmmaker 'focus on the women who knew Bundy', a fourth added: "Thank you Liz and Molly. You hold the key to so much mystery. Please continue talking and sharing all that you know. For posterity. For history. For the victims. Thank you!!!!"
