Strap in, guys. The next instalment of Netflix's You is finally on its way, as production is set to recommence fairly soon.

No start date has been publicly set in stone as of yet, but an insider on the show has confirmed to LADbible that You scheduled to return to production in Autumn.

Filming initially began earlier this year; however 2020 had different plans, as we soon came to realise.

Despite production for the third instalment being put on hold, the show's co-creator Sera Gamble didn't shy away from offering a few hints as to what we can expect from the eagerly-awaited new offering.

She explained that 'there's lots to come' with the new mystery neighbour seen at the end of the second season, for starters.

Has Joe Goldberg got his sights set on something/one else?

Gamble made the revelation during a virtual chat with Penn Badgley, who plays lead character and serial killer narcissist Joe Goldberg in the show.

The pair were re-watching and discussing some of the best moments so far, including the final scene of season two - which ended on one helluva cliffhanger.

Reflecting on a clip in which Joe peeks through his fence at the unknown woman, Badgley said: "I want to ask you about what we're going to do here but you can't really tell us."

To which Gamble replied: "It's pretty obvious when we were filming this that we were careful not to show too much of her because that role hasn't technically been cast yet. But there's lots to come with that neighbour."

HEY, YOU CAN'T STOP THERE.

Fans have their own theories as to what will happen, of course - especially regarding that explosive final scene, where Joe says in a voiceover: "This is just the beginning. Because this is where I had to be to meet you.

"There you were with your books and your sunshine, so close but worlds away. I will figure out a way. A way to get to you. See you soon, neighbour."

Some might think this is just a warm up to get people ready for his next victim, but one fan reckons that the woman is actually his mum. Taking to Twitter, they wrote: "I'm telling y'all the woman at the end is going to be Joe's mom and not a new girl he's obsessed with.

"I think she disappeared and started a new family and Joe finally decided to track her down for obvious reasons... He's absolutely stalking his mom in S3 #YouSeasonTwo."

Dun dun duuuun. There's obviously no release date for Season 3 just yet but we'll keep you posted.
