Billie Piper has made a candid admission about what it was like to film one of the more raunchy scenes in her controversial adult series.
The former singer may be best known for playing one of the most recognisable - and arguably one of the best - Doctor Who companions of all time, but she's had plenty of roles outside of the sci-fi genre.
One of her most notorious roles came in 2007 when she portrayed the role high-end prostitute Hannah Baxter/Belle De Jour in steamy ITV series Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, which is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Based off the book Belle De Jour: Diary of an Unlikely Call Girl by Lucy Prebble, the series follows Hannah as she navigates her life and job as professional call girl.

Given that the series revolves around the life of a woman working as a sex worker, it should be pretty obvious that Secret Diary Of A Call Girl will contain some very raunchy moments.
Meaning that it's not one to watch with your family or binge during long commutes.

Piper has spoken openly about what it was like to work on the series - referred to by some as the British version of Fifty Shades Of Grey - and it would appear there was one scene in particular which felt pretty 'sordid' to shoot.
Recalling the particular scene in a previous interview with Heat magazine, via Digital Spy, the actor recalled 'feeling a bit wrong' on her way home from work.
"In the third episode there's an entire scene in which I'm behind done from behind and I had to make a series of animal noises at the same time," she explained at the time.

"I did leave work that day feeling a bit sordid and a bit wrong."

Explaining how she initially had mixed emotions about the scene before watching it back, Piper continued: "I felt quite low about myself - like I had to have a shower before I went home and fed my child. But it was funny as well.
"Everyone on set found it very funny anyway. I felt wrong afterwards, but when I watched it back I did think it was funny too."
She also admitted that she used body doubles for 'certain things - just some stuff which I couldn't do for sheer embarrassment', adding: "Usually it's just the intense grinding scenes I can't do."
Piper would later reflect on her time on the divisive show during a 2020 interview, telling Radio Times: "I thought it could be very original and thought-provoking, but there was a lot of resistance and it became something very different. The execution wasn’t quite there."
Secret Diary Of A Call Girl is available to stream on Netflix until 29 May.
