A former star of the hit children's TV show My Parents Are Aliens has posted a video where she 'addresses misinformation' about her age.
Danni McCormack starred in the TV show from 1999 to 2004, returning in 2005 for the finale, with the hit show following three orphaned children who discover that their adoptive parents are in fact aliens, and remains a classic for many.
McCormack shared a video to her TikTok page about the 'quite frankly horrendous trolling', saying that while she didn't like the idea of making a video like this, she felt that she had 'no other option'.
"I woke up this morning to this quite frankly horrendous trolling, and I'm honestly quite disgusted, she said in the clip shared to her social media page.

"The suggestion that I am 43 years old is not only really hurtful, but it's quite frankly defamatory, because that would make me a middle-aged woman, and I think we can all see that I'm not a day over 33," she added.
"I would really appreciate everybody's help in refraining from spreading this kind of misinformation online going forward."

This was of course a tongue-in-cheek video that McCormack shared on 18 September, which just so happens to be her birthday.
Despite her protestations that she was marking her 33rd birthday, the rumours were in fact true that the day was in fact her 43rd birthday.
But it wasn't just the 'trolling' that she hit out at in the hilarious clip, as she also made a more personalised request to one person in particular.
"Also, I would just really like to politely ask that nobody buys me an orchid today," she said, "and by nobody I mean you mum."
Explaining her reasoning, she confessed that she has never been able to properly look after the orchids that her mum has bought her in the past, saying: "Because every year you buy me one and every year I kill it."
She joked: "At this point I just have to ask - what is it that you do have against orchids?"
The actor and musician went on to say that she would 'be spending the remainder of my 33rd birthday surrounded by my loved ones and exploring my legal options'.

"This statement is final," she added, "and I'll be taking no further questions at this time, except about presents, I'll definitely be accepting questions about those."
Fans poured into the comments to wish her a happy birthday, with one offering their 'thoughts and prayers', to which McCormack replied: "Thank you. It’s been an incredibly difficult 24 hours".
Another also offered their own sympathies, confiding that they had also been subject to such a misinformation campaign.
"As someone who was accused of turning 44 earlier this month I completely understand that hurt those comments must have caused," they wrote. "Stay strong!"
One person reflected on the fact that millennials age in a strange way means that technically it is a 33rd birthday, writing: "Millennial's dont age. We all look 10 years younger than we are. Im also 43".
Finally, one person offered some tips just in case another orchid does appear, writing: "Happy birthday!! Also orchids don’t die they grow back ig you randomly chuck water at it occasionally. Takes about a year for them to re-flower. If the leaves are green it’s still alive."
