How I'm A Celeb campmates make such a quick exit across the bridge after being voted out

Do they teleport out of camp or something?

Ever wondered how evicted contestants on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! are able to make it so quickly to the bridge after leaving camp? Here's how.

We are now three evictions in to the I'm A Celebrity... 2024 series, with newspaper columnist Jane Moore, Bushtucker trial favourite Dean McCcullough, and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos being the first celebrities to get the boot.

However, eagle-eyed fans have been quick to notice there seems to be a continuity issue between the moment a contestant discovers they've been eliminated, and the moment they arrive for their exit interview.

The issue being, how on Earth do they make it up there so quickly?

Viewers have been quick to share the thoughts across social media since the eliminations started, with one person writing: "So the elimination isn’t live because there’s no way they say their goodbyes and get across that bridge and the camp get to their waving point that quickly!!"

"Someone remind me how you can get from camp to the bridge in about 10 seconds…," a second viewer penned, while a third added: "How the hell do they get from the camp to the bridge in a matter of seconds, makes it seem like it’s not live."

So, how do the contestants say their goodbyes, leave the camp and make it all the way to the bridge so quickly? Teleportation? Being shot out of a cannon?

Turns out the answer is a lot more straightforward.

According to a previous article from Digital Spy, one viewer explained that the moment campmates learn whose been eliminated isn't actually live, but instead pre-recorded during the previous ad break, which means celebrities have more than enough time to make the walk.

"The part where they tell the campmates who’s leaving isn't [sic] live as they do it in the ad break," the viewer explained. "So it gives them about 5 ish minutes to leave camp and get up on the bridge. It's been like this every season i think."

This viewer isn't the only person who noticed this either, with several others noting the clever camera work during this year's eliminations. "It isn't live when Ant and Dec go into camp to tell them who's going home," one person replied to a confused viewer.

"Camp bit is pre recorded then the bridge bit goes back to live," another person noted.

Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec revealed their shock at seeing N-Dubz singer Tulisa being booted out so quickly, with the presenters revealing their reactions during spin-off I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked.

"That was a real shock for me that was," Ant said of the moment, while Dec added that it was 'so hard to call it this year' when it came to predicting a winner.
