The Traitors contestant Jack Butler is facing speculation that he's the winner of the popular BBC series after an engagement photo was unearthed on his Instagram account.
Like most popular TV shows, the events at Ardross Castle played out months before the latest series hit our screens, which means whoever the winning contestant is has spent a significant amount of time keeping the prize money a secret.
However, this is the age of the internet, which means fans can fill their time between episodes combing through contestants' social media profiles for clues which could suggest a major windfall.
Which is exactly what has happened to Faithful Jack, with fans believing his comments about how he'd spend the prize money have already been spoiled on Instagram.

And what is the alleged giveaway, you ask? A lavish summer proposal to his partner.

During last night's (16 January) episode, Jack revealed how he'd spend the money if he were to win, telling fellow contestants: "My girlfriend and I, as most people in the UK do, struggle to get on the property ladder, so it would be nice to kind of contribute towards the deposit."
He then went on to reveal his proposal plans, adding: "I want to be putting a ring on it in a few months' time."
This isn't the first time Jack has shared his marriage hopes, with the 29-year-old revealing his 'secret plan' to propose to his girlfriend before the show even aired.

"I’m planning to propose to my partner, so it’d be nice to spend a bit of money on that, maybe taking her somewhere nice," he said.
However, it didn't take long for people to realise Jack's 'secret plan' had already come to fruition, after a scroll through the personal trainer's Instagram revealed the proposal had already happened.
In a post dated 21 July, Jack shared a photo dump from a week in Santorini, revealing that he'd proposed to partner Kim while on the trip.
"Just had the BEST week of my life with my new Fiancée," he captioned the post.

Meanwhile, a post from jewellers Durham Rose also shared further details about the proposal on their social media channel, writing in August: "Our client’s proposal is giving us all the Pinterest vibes!
"Dreamy Santorini, sun-kissed yacht, and a YESS to this beautifully bespoke ring!!"
So does confirmation of Jack's engagement mean the show was accidentally spoiled months before it aired?
Maybe, but probably not.
The exact date on which season four of The Traitors wrapped filming has not been confirmed. However, it's believed the show was shot during the summer of 2025, meaning Jack's proposal came after his time in the Castle.

Jack had also let slip that he was planning to propose to his partner regardless of whether or not he won the series, telling fellow contestants 'the ring's already sorted' during the dinner party chat.
