And that is saying something

People think a woman's sign language video to Cardi B's 'WAP' could be even raunchier than the original - which really is a huge statement. You can see for yourself here:

If you've been living in a Cardi B-free cave the past month or so, 'WAP' is the rapper's latest single and number one in the UK charts.

The music video made a lot of waves when it was released in August - as you might expect from a song about 'wet a** p***y' - and it has now been viewed more than 189 million times.

Could the ASL version be raunchier than the original?

But one YouTuber has arguably made an even more sexual 'WAP' video simply by signing to the lyrics.

Libbey Ketterer, from Ohio, has more than 528,000 subscribers on her channel, The Daily Sign, where she regularly posts videos of her signing along to pop songs. However, with lyrics like the following, the 22-year-old's use of American Sign Language is unavoidably sexual in this instance:

"He got a beard, well, I'm tryna wet it,
I let him taste it, now he diabetic.
I don't wanna spit, I wanna gulp,
I wanna gag, I wanna choke.
I want you to touch that little dangly thang
That swang in the back of my throat
."

Libbey's hands were tied there really, weren't they?

Explaining on TikTok how she translated the above passage, she wrote: "CL-1 finger representing uvula, mouth open to indicate inside of mouth. Wiggling to indicate 'dangly'. CL-BJ Touch (aimed at uvula CL)."

People were impressed by Libbey's signed WAP video.

People were quite rightly impressed by her efforts, with the full YouTube video racking up more than 1.29 million views. Indeed, many people felt she had somehow managed to make the video more explicit than the original.

One person commented: "This look[s] more sexual then the actual song!"

Another said: "You made it 'look' exactly as dirty and nasty as it is, which is amazing omg."

A third added: "I'm cackling how equally dirty the ASL version looks compared to the spoken language."

Now all we need is for Cardi to do the right thing and take Libbey on the road with her for all of her deaf followers.
