Born on 10 June 1971 in Brisbane, Australia, Kyle Sandilands is a well-known Australian radio host, appearing widely across Australian media for his work in radio and television, and making headlines for his often controversial personality. 

Sandilands is currently the co-host of the weekday morning radio program The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Sydney’s radio station KIIS 106.5, alongside co-host Jackie O.

The 51-year-old is best known for his work on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, which he has co-hosted since 2005, as well as his many television appearances.

Sandilands has served as a judge on Australian Idol, Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor Australia, and has hosted Big Brother Australia

As well as his work in television and radio, Sanidlands also made his motion picture debut in 2014, starring in Fat Pizza vs. Housos.

The Seven Network has also recently announced that Sandilands will be judging the 2023 reboot of Australian Idol.

He'll join Australian singer Amy Shark and American stars Meghan Trainor and Harry Connick Jr. on the judging panel.

Sandilands has become known for his controversial on-air stunts and offensive comments, something he has once again found himself in the midst of following a clash with his Australian Idol co-star Harry Connick Jr. 

Following Connick Jr.’s request that they take the time to learn the contestant’s individual pronouns, Sandilands said on-air to co-host Jackie O, 'we're not wasting time with that sh*t'.
