Winnie the Pooh has all of a sudden taken a horribly dark turn, as the beloved children's book is being adapted for a new slasher horror.

Here’s everything you need to know about the alarming new indie film…

Images and Plot

Although there is no official trailer as of yet, we’ve been given a glimpse at the bizarre movie, from a bunch of shocking images, which have gone viral. One picture shows grotesque versions of both Pooh and Piglet, who were so cherished in everyone's childhood, standing behind a woman in a hot tub (it really is truly unsettling). We also see one of the characters standing on what appears to be a kidnapped, tied up woman emphasising that this film is not going to hold back on its sinister essence.

Looking at the actual plot now, not much has been given away as of yet. IMDB gives a brief synopsis saying ‘It follows Pooh and Piglet as they go on a rampage after Christopher Robin abandons them.’ Director Rhy Frake-Waterfield has hinted at a sinister humour to the film as he told Variety “It’s scary but there’s also funny bits…there’s shots of Winnie the Pooh in a car and seeing him with his little ears behind the wheel and like slowly going over there [to murder her.]” This just seems to make the film a whole lot more weird.

Release Date

At the moment we don’t have a confirmed release date, but it's reckoned that the twisted slasher could be here as early as the end of 2022, due to the film being in its post production phase.

Cast and Crew

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is Indie director Rhys Frake-Waterfield Debut movie, and while the cast is relatively limited for the film we do know a few characters.
